1. Tainaner: Re/turn

Date of performance: 2018/3/2-4/1

Venue: Taipei Cultural Center City Stage, Kaohsiung Art Center, National Taichung Theater, Tainan Municipal Cultural Center

Tainaner was established in 1987. In recent years, the troupe has not only won the hearts of many through their performances, but also garnered the consistent support of their fans. Tainaner specializes in innovative and experimental techniques to demonstrate the uniqueness of theater and to invite the audience’s imagination. "Re/turn" explores the possibilities of reincarnation; if we were given a second chance, would things be different? Could we find a better ending?

2. Riverbed Theatre: The First Time I Walked on the Moon

Date of performance: 2018/3/8-3/11

Venue: Taiwan National Experimental Theatre

Riverbed Theatre was founded in Taipei in 1998. Their performances are characterized by the innovative integration of space, sound, color, lighting and movement.   For this year's Taiwan International Festival of Art, they presented "The First Time I Walked on the Moon", a drama that encourages the audience to explore their desire for magic and miracles, a way to escape the monotony of life and once again light the fire within us to dream.

3. LT Spirit: In Memory of Master Li Guo-Xiu “Can Three Make it?”

Date of performance: 2018/3/9-3/25

Venue: Wellspring Theater

“Can Three Make it?” was performed for the first time in 1987, and it has been performed more than 408 times since its debut. The play is a comedy in six parts, with three actors: two men and one woman. The three actors must quickly transition from role to role, a test of the actors’ basic skills.   In this performance there is a special variation: the actors take cues and suggestions from the audience in order to transition between characters, challenging the improvisation abilities of the actors.

4. On and In: It's Only the End of the World

Date of performance: 2018/3/16-3/25

Venue: Cybersquare

On and In studio has adapted their script from the play by Jean-Luc Lagarce (1957-1995) "It's Only the End of the World", or "Juste le fin de la monde", which was recently adapted into a film of the same name by director Xavier Dolan. The story focuses on the return of Louis, a man who had disappeared from his hometown 12 years ago. His reunion with his family sets off an unexpected disturbance. How will he face these challenges?

5. Godot Theatre Company: A True Comedic Drama "Love for All Seasons"

Date of performance: 2018/3/30-7/1

Venue: Kaohsiung Cultural Center, National Performing Arts Center (Taichung)

Two well known actors in the drama industry, Bao-Ming Gu and Tsu-Yun Lang will perform side by side in this exploration of the softer side of life, touching the hearts of the audience. "Love for All Seasons" allows the audience to experience the development of romance between the two characters over the course of half a century, a story that transcends affection, friendship and love.

6. Springsunpat: Wasabi of Love

Date: 2018/4/26-6/2

Venue: Taipei City Art Performance Office, Taichung Chung Shan Hall, the Zhongli Arts Hall

The classic love story musical “Wasabi of Love” by Springsunpat shows the sadness of marriage and the critical issue of transgender. The story happens in a class reunion, three once intimated classmates find their lives are not quite good, so they are thinking about how to address these problems. The question is, how will they change their lives?

7. Performance Workshop: Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land-30th Anniversary Edition

Date: 2018/5/5

Venue: Bureau of Cultural Affairs Kaohsiung City Government

“Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land” is a quite classic play in Taiwan, which is directed by Stan Lai, a famous director. The show tells a story about two unrelated theaters have rehearsal in the same day, making amazing and emotional effects.

8. Voleur du Feu Theatre X Oriza Hirata

Date: 2018/5/5-5/6

Venue: Taiwan National Theater and Concert Hall The Experimental Theater

Voleur du Feu Theatre was founded in 2013, trying to influence the society by performaces. Since 2013, they have already written 13 original scripts and performed over 100 shows. This year, Voleur du Feu Theatre cooperates with Japanese director Oriza Hirata, bring the latest drama.
