Selected Prints by Contemporary Masters in 20th Century

Print making is a production of the European Renaissance which originated in the beginning of the fifteenth century. In the eighteenth century during the height of Impressionism, many artists used print making and developed various techniques including lithography, etching, engraving, screen printing, and rubbing of mixed media(which has further evolved in modern times). In recent years, the emergence of digital output (Giclee Prints) has also developed using the latest techniques.

YIART meticulously selected 28 pieces works including pieces by Spanish artist Antoni Taipie and pieces by Josep Guinovart, known for abstract expression. Antoni Tapies is not only considered one of the most distinguished Spanish artists of the twentieth century but is also a representative of anti-formalism and a multi-media artist. Many of his works are exhibited in authoritative art museums around the world. In addition, we selected works from Ross Bleckner from New York, Samy Benmayor from Chile, and Cuban artist Julio Larraz who is famous for his concise style.

As for work by Asian artists, we selected work by Twentieth Century Asian Art Masters Zao Wou-ki, Chu Teh-Chun, and Ting Walasse. We also chose work by Chinese contemporary artist Wang Huai-Qing, work by Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama, work by Taiwanese artists like Yang Yu-Yu, Yang Chi-Hung, and by performance artist who represented Taiwan at La Biennale di Venezia in 2017.

From Western abstract paintings to Eastern paintings, printmaking artworks have been presented in a diverse and interesting way. We hope to present our viewers with a layered visual experience and seize the opportunity to collect art works at the level of an International Art Museum.
