The prototype of "David Rabbit with the Head of a Rabbit Doll" is Caravaggio's "David with the Head of Goliath". The artist replaces David in the work with a rabbit. The rabbit is not holding the head of Goliath with a painful expression, but a doll with no life. The painting contrasts harmless rabbits and the playful situation of children in the artist's works alleviate the naked reality and seriousness of the adult world in the original work, making people smile.
